Auto auctions?

Hey, has anyone done this to get their cars? I'm not talking about Ebay (though they have had some great cars up there) but rather a physical auction. Something like the ones that the US Treasury runs... Like this Also, there are all these cheezy websites that say... blah blah, government...

ZIPCD 8X/4X/32X $50 no MIR or coupon needed at J&R Computer World B&M at NYC Wednesday 6/26/01

What's the OEM make on the ZipCD? Yamaha? Doesn't sound like a Plextor from the complaints... It'd be OK if it was TEAC but doubt it is... might be good to replace an aging 2X Sony I have as a backup to my 16X... hhehe

Yup... went to that Car and Driver one too... Chrylser sponsored with Skip Barber instructors... that's probably the best part, free advice and pointers for real deal instructors. Funny though... I had my best run with a female instructor... :) Plus they give you a bag of free junk... keychain...

Hmm, sounds like an OK deal... probably throw some CDRs on top for that $40 off $400 since those are supposed to go up (Suck!) Waiting for Asus or someone else to bring out a decently priced one with TV in/out... svideo?

3 Months telocity DSL and Realplayer PLus for $30 no contract

I have to agree with Chexi, Telo$#ity is not a good deal... I cancelled their service before I was switched and they still charged me... I called Billing dept who decided that hanging up on me would be nice... :disgust: Now disputing that charge... This is not mentioning that their support is...

Well, does Half still accept Discover? You could use Discover Deskshop (Discover's version of AMEX's Private Payments) since that also expires after 30 days... I personally haven't started using Half yet... not too many "old" DVDs I want... and all the anime DVDs are soo expensive...

Que CDRW 12/10/32 for $156.94 after rebate

Well, if it just a Teac, then it's good to know that CDRWin isn't supported by the 512EB (the one with Burnproof) yet. I'm sure Goldenhawk will update for the Teac (which reads subchannel data and does DAO-RAW with latest firmware)... hopefully soon!
