Win won't start without SD card inserted??

C1, Right--I actually forgot to include that info in my original post. Under Windows' drive manager, the 700GB partition is labeled as "Healthy (System, Active, Primary Partition)".

Turion ML vs. MT

Can anyone (preferably with firsthand experience with a Turion-based lappy) tell me what impact the MT makes on battery performance compared an equally clocked ML? I've looked at a few different articles that have said that differences between the two are somewhere around 15 min. or so and...

Question: Memory's Impact on Battery Life

I occasionally play games on it, in which case I have the AC plugged into it, so it won't matter in that case... When running on battery, the machine's usually doing a good share of browsing/Word, etc. Would an upgrade be not worthwhile relative to the diddly-squat improvement in battery?

New LCD (DELL E193FP) is killing my eyes

I just picked this up as well - the brightness is.. well.. killing my eyes as well, but not because it's so bright; rather, the monitor's way too dark. I was wondering if any of you knew how and if you could change the brightness on this thing, cus I sure can't find it anywhere in the OSD...
