I made a slight mistake in my post, I meant that he likes the Carbide 500R. It is perfect, except it doesn't have the window. We're going to look at the Design R4. Thanks!

Thanks for all the feedback guys. We have ordered most of the parts. Now we are trying to decide on a case. My brother saw the NZXT Phantom 410 at microcenter and didn't like how it looked. He is fond of the Corsair 500R, but it doesn't have a windowed side panel. What's the best mid tower case...

Great! I will go with the MSI GTX 770 and that SeaSonic PSU. I am still finalizing the motherboard. I ran across this Gigabyte GA-Z87X at Microcenter. Seems like a great deal. What do you guys think?

Front Audio help

ok i got it to work...i was using ipod earbuds, which seem to be incompatible...it works with regular headphones/earbuds. Thanks alot however!

well i did that, but you see i plug in the headphones to the front panel, buthe sound does not switch over. If I do a test on the realtek audio manager software I hear sound through the headphones, but if I'm playin music the sound does not switch over to the headphones.

I was talking about the 4 orange jacks that are labeled as "speaker" in the manual, I don't think those have anything to do with it tho. My board llooks pretty much the same as rev 1.

ahh i didnt see all of your post. I plugged my HD Audio plug from the case into the _Audio jack, which is on the back of the mobo, right of the pci-express solt and left of the cpu holder.

I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L installed into my Cooler Master 690 series case with no other issues than sound. I installed the Realtek HD Audio Drivers installed and all sounds work fine from the back of the on board sound. My problems is with the front audio plugs on the case. No matter what...
