When you buy a new GPU for gaming, what do you do with your old one?

Joined Ebay in 2000 to sell my first card to help pay for the new one and I've been doing it ever since. It helps a great deal when you don't have deep pockets. Lately I've been going with XFX because I can transfer the Lifetime Warranty to a new owner and get more money when I sell the card.

Radeon 5xxx Owners Report Grey Screens/Hangs

Yay!! Just installed my brand-new XFX HD 5770 and it took about 10 min. for first GSOD. Thought I may get lucky and be spared. Yes I did a full-driver clean-out and the rest, I've been at this for quite a while. Lowered my mem clocks from 1150 to 1100 which I saw suggested in several threads...

Video Card Warranties and Ebay

Yup, right on the money. Just Ebayed a XFX GTX 285 and got more for the card becuase I was able to offer the Transferable Lifetime Warranty from XFX. That was one of the reasons I bought an XFX card last round, that and it was on sale at Newegg. You are correct about Registering within 30...

AMD 4870 x2 on Gigabyte P35 DS3L

Just came from a similar thread and your board would workout just fine. The current crop of PCI-E 2.0 cards work just as fast on boards such as yours and mine, if there is a difference at all, it would be minimal.

More or less what sentry said. Keep your current card, wait for the prices to drop on the new GTX 260 216SP to what you paid for your old GTX 260 192SP card, and then just Step-up by paying only the shipping cost. Performance wise they're very close, so unless you can do it by just paying...

Fan Speed Fix for HD 4870?

Setting the fan speed to 37%-38% drops my temps by 30C for me and I only use one profile. I ran Fur Mark at max settings for an hour and the highest temps I recorded were 89C-90C and Crysis is any harder on your GPU than Fur Mark. So the best thing you can do is just monitor your temps during a...

GT200b to launch at Nvision 08 (Aug 25-27)

I can't argue with this at all. I've had my heart set on the X2 from all the previews that I've seen, but if can Nvidia step up to the plate with a single GPU solution that offers even almost the performance of an X2 for a similar price, I would definitely consider going green again.
