I tried the Galaxy Tab and actually thought it was slow. Maybe it was just the one I was using, but it convinced me to leave the store after I thought that's what I wanted.
I'm considering moving to sprint for unlimited data as well. I use my iPhone for tethering part of the time and have usually gone through my limit and get throttled in the first week.
Thanks for the good suggestions. I am thinking the ipad mini at the moment. As far as the people that don't think I should give her what she wants, its not about that. I am a believer that our children need to understand technology because it will play a large part in whatever career you...
I really wish AT&T would go to an unlimited plan. I use mine for a hotspot also and after one week they toss the limited wifi on me. :(

I guess I don't understand why Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony haven't taken more advantage of the mobile devices that are out there. Why not spend the money on creating a game that has a subscription service?
I wish there was something I could do to put a stake in RIM. My work forces me to use a Blackberry and I use an iPhone for personal use. I hate carrying two phones and the blackberry constantly freezes up, drops calls and is a piece of crap!
My daughter is wanting an iPad for Christmas and I'm not sure I want to spend that kind of money on it. Would the Kindle Fire be a better option? By the way, she is 10.
I've split this off from the old Kindle thread so that it gets the attention it deserves

I use a Canon 60D camera and love everything about it including video recording but the issue is you can only record 12 minutes of video at a time no matter how big of a memory card you have.
The color doesn't bother me as much as how distorted pictures are with zoom. They really need to fix this in order to truly compete with point and shoot cameras.
