You don't need the CD in for the flash...just the floppy with A8V.ROM file and an Alt/F2 key press on boot. The CD contains a bios recovery.....does anybody on this forum know how to read instructions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1008 is working great after the CMOS was cleared and I could boot into Ez Flash for the bios flash routine. Mine came with 1005 which gives everyone here a boot problem and a CPU fail voice warning.

During post the memory test line will show your 512MB in dual channel. Check it out during the next boot. My 939 3400+ worked best when I went from the rev 1 board 1005 bios up to the 1008. I also have the CPU setup running on auto overclock.
