I have one and think its worth the price. I have a Logitech Harmony remote I use with XBMC but when I need to do something on the desktop it comes in handy and works fine for that. Its don't need it much for in the dark because I have the remote but its definitely better than having to pull out...

It tested it out again and noticed something which may not mean anything but seemed strange. I have two cards in my box... the AC-1 and a X-fi gamer. When I test the speakers (windows software) when connected to the X-fi it lists the speaks as rear speakers and has a RL and RR indicator by them...
I think you are running XP, as it says you are using DX 9.0c, however it doesn't appear the Vista drivers/console has that 3d test option. Im running the Vista 2.23 drivers.

The receiver works fine when connected to my XBOX and when I go through the speaker test on the unit every speaker provides sound as it is supposed to. I am pretty sure the speakers are setup correctly as I triple checked it when I set it up.
