Video Card Questions

I know i will be flamed for this because my friends already did. One of my friends has a GeForceFX5200 128 and the other has a x300 128. I thought they were the same due to the 128, arent they? What are the differences in video cards, are there more parts to consider besides the 128?

Sound Card

I installed my sound card about a month ago and it worked fine. A couple of days ago I noticed there was no sound coming from my speakers. I unistalled the drivers, and the card, I put the card back in and it was recognized, I installed the drivers, and there is still no sound. What could be wrong?

Hard Drive Partition

The time im measuring is when It says WINDOWS XP and there are some things in a box that keep scrolling by. I only have Internet Explorer, MSn Messenger, and SWG, but none of those are startup apps. From when I hit the power button, to when the computer completely loads is about 90 seconds.

Hard Drive Partition

I noticed that when I turn on my computer it takes a while for Windows XP to load. 41 Seconds to be exact. I have a 160 GB hard drive. Someone said I can reduce that time by creating a partition. How big does my partition have to be for Windows XP?
