Help - my laptop recognizes memory less than installed.

Help - my laptop recognizes memory less than installed.

My laptop has memory 512 MB installed but System Information shows only 384. When I tried the memory w/ another laptop, it showed 512 MB. What cause the system recognize sthe memory less than installed? Windows or motherboard? How to find out and fix? TIA.

It depends on you loan type. I.O. period can be 5 or 10 yrs. By the time the I.O. period over, your 2nd HELOC can be paid off. You will have only 1st mortgage. You can always refi for better rate and term. It also depends on how long you wanna live in the house or keep the 1st loan. A loan that...

I.O. payment is not that bad. you can always pay more than the minimum required when you want to. It's great if your income is not fixed. Your monthly liability is lower. Besides, you can pay I.O. on your first mortgage and pay more toward your higher rate second HELOC if you didn't put 20%...

How bad infaltion will be in the next ten yrs.? Honda Accord EX V6 will cost $60k by then? I hope I will be no longer working. Lay low and have a place near the beach.

I'd just put it in 6-mo CD for about 4.75% return in a year just because i don't see stock market will be a lot better in 12 mos timeframe given higher energy costs and interest rate. If you really want to be in stocks, try energy, healthcare, and discount chain stores. Another alternative is...
