no not overkill, it has 4mb cache for video and everything is integrated on the board. A very cheap board, but good for what she needs it for.

Cheap System to build

My cousin wants me to build a cheap system for her. She will do nothing but play solitare, surf the internet, and type in word. I was thinking: Intel 810 w\integrated sound + video + modem Celeron 566Mhz 128MB PC100 Maxtor or IBM 15gig 7200rpm some kind of 40x-50x cdrom and a little cheap case...

760 Overclocking?

If I have a Duron unlocked at 100Mhz X 10 and get a a AMD760 chipset, do you think that I could lower the multiplier to 7.5 and raise te bus to 133Mhz? By the way of course this will be done with PC2100.

Why does the PlayStation 2 take so looooong to load?

Does it take long to load regular Playstation 2 games too? How would you say it is compared to a Dreamcast?

P4 vs. AMD TBird (760) and Mustang.

Either way AMD has stolen my heart and my wallet. The price and performance is unbeatable. The only thing that could be improved is the amount and price of motherboards on the market.

Simple Question about RAM. ( Get DDR or just put in more SDRAM ) ?

I would get 512MB DDR but I havet seen any motherboard that has more than 2 DDR slots and no bigger than a 128MB DDR. That only adds up to 256MB DDR

What if Socket-A 133fsb is real?

But you think that if we knocked back the multiplier a little we would be able to reach 133MHZ or better on the AMD760?

I'm getting cable today!

Yeah I had my dsl for about 5 months then moved out of area. Now I am back on 56k and I tell you but the dsl was the best experience I have ever had on the internet. Take my word BROADBAND OR BUST!

Which setup would be better for a 3d Modeling and animation system ( Win 2000 ) , 256MB DDR PC2100 or 512MB PC100? This is on a Thunderbird 1.2Ghz system.
