I miss my old Thinkpad trackpoint. Once used to it, I could really fly. In my opinion, its much better than trackpad.

I used to format/reload XP Pro every 3-6 Months. now I am much more careful with downloading junk. I only use PB with OS-X to download now. My XP machine has had a good solid year with zero problems. A good maintenance schedule is helpful!

The updated PowerBooks are the "bang for the buck" PB's of all time...Especially the 12" G4 1.33Ghz. @ $1399.99 - with educational discount. I would not get the iBook... do the math and weigh the trade-offs. It is is clear which machine comes out on top.
This is a problem which I have encountered over the years. It can get expensive if precautions are not taken. My Thinkpad screen was permanently marked. I now use the ShaggyMac Laptop Screen Protector.
