How was your Sempron XP experience?

1. 2800 2. Yes, I am pleased with it. My 2400xp died, this one performs better. 3. 2.160 ghz 4. Stock voltage, my m/b doesn't let me increase cpu voltage. I am satisfied with my 2800 sempron, it runs at a higher fsb than my old 2400xp, and at a higher clock rate. In sandra cpu benchmarks...

Why have multiple hard drives?

I only have four hard drives a 160+80+40+40, having multiple drives, makes my data more secure, and gives me more room to grow.

Video card vs motherboard

download prime95, and run the torture test. Just to make sure that your Cpu and Ram (not to mention mb) are ok. if it can run for atleast 4 hours or so without a error it should be fine.

Extremely poor RAID0 performance :-(

I know how you feel, I set Up Raid-0 on my computer, and I too was disapointed, it's a waist of time.

Curious, does having a USB Keyboard connection matter?

I have a Logitech Elite keyboard that's USB, but I use the PS2 adaptor because USB doesn't work in DOS or when the computer is first booting up.

Build Your Own Vs. Buying

nothing beats building your own: 1. you get exactly what you want 2. it's usually cheaper 3. repairs are easier 4. you get a warrantly for each part 5. you can brag about it :)
