A good vid card will go a long way with that system. Thumbs up to the 7600GT for some light-moderate gaming.

linux crashes

What about kernel panics? If and when linux crashes, kernel panics and segfaults are the big two. I'd say thats frequent enough to consider.

Lame "will this work) thread

With a C2D laptop (2.0GHz with 4mb cache) with 2 gigs of ram and an x1400 play well? I like higher resolutions and eye candy, but can do without some. Is it even worth buying?
