The fact that New Orleans played the Suns relatively close in the first round and almost forced a game 7 should've raised some flags and had people questioning if the Suns were really all that great.
The Mavericks over achieved, it was pretty clear that GSW was on another level compared to Dallas. The only reason Dallas didn't get swept is by virtue of making a ton of 3 pointers game 4, GSW pretty much controlled every other aspect of the series.

It's a perfect example of the industry trying to push some novelty item as must need when the consumer market really didn't want it. Nobody really wanted to wear those glasses and even then it's nothing special.
