Dell 2001FP 20" LCD for $749 no rebates IS BACK!!! [thru 2/9]

I'd like know how the 2001fp compares to the 2000fp. I see the tech specs but qualitatively how much better is the 2001fp? The more descriptive the better. TIA I have 2 2000fps currently.

Thanks for that info blazingoat. Do you play any games with that setup? How does the computer know which card to use in a DirectX or OpenGL game?

Sometimes I think hell will freeze over before someone makes a dual DVI out card that's a real upgrade to a Geforce 4. (That is, Radeon 9800/Geforce FX 5900 level).

Tyan Tachyon 9600Pro still is slower than my year-old Gainward GF 4 4600 in most tests (except with 4xAA etc). Only a Radeon 9700/9800 Pro or GF FX 5900 is a real upgrade... unfortunately, no 2 DVI versions exist. So $300-$500 still sits in my bank account, earning .75 interest :/

There's a lot of informed opinions here regarding the video card market. I've had a Gainward Geforce 4 4600 2 DVI card for over a year now and would like to upgrade. Unfortunately, there are no cards available that offer superior performance for less than $700 ("workstation" Quadro / Fire GL)...

What is best gaming card with Dual DVI?

Yup, Gainward GF 4600, if you can find it. I've had it for over a year. Unfortunately, the only next better card would be something like the ATI Fire GL X1, which cost over $700. I'd love to find a Radeon 9700/9800 or GF FX 5900 with 2 DVI, but none are made. The GF FX 5600 is quite a bitter...

Yes there is a huge difference between analog and DVI, especially for text. Running analog and dvi next to each other is too horrible to comtemplate.

Unfortunately, this card is substantially slower than the GF 4 4600, except when Anti-Aliasing is enabled.

Well, I guess I have to bite the bullet. I run 2 LCD monitors using DVI. There are no 2 DVI cards on the market that are a real upgrade (for games) for my Gainward Geforce 4 4600. I emailed ATI and they said that Hydravision does support multicards, including 1 AGP Radeon 9800 pro + 1 PCI...
