my 1.7+ Athlon XP booting as a 1.1 on my ECS K7S5A

I have an ECS K7S5A posting a 1700+ Athlon XP CPU at 1.1Ghz. I am sure a bios update will correct the problem. However, I was just wondering, is the cpu actually operating at 1.1Ghz or is it operating at the 1700 speed but just displaying wrong? Thanks for your help.

Hey, I recently put together a 1700+ Athlon XP System using an ecs k7s5a. It boots as a 1100Mhz cpu and it is also read as a 1100Mhz in SisSandra 2002. I am pretty sure that if i flash the bios to the latest update the problem will be resolved. However, I was wondering if the CPU is actually...

1.2Tbird w/ Glaciator peaking at 52degC under load...Should i install a blow hole...is that temp ok?

My system temp is about 32C when my CPU is 49C after a 10min break following some extended Unreal Tournament play.

1.2 Athlon Thunderbird running at 49 idle...what are you guys getting?

I am using a Millenium Glaciator I in an Enlight 7237 case. One case fan on the front bottom, another in the back. However, the IDE cables block the flow of air from the bottom. I am thinking about installing a side blowhole across from the cpu. Any thoughts?

Hey, I'd like to be able to monitor my cpu temp on my ecs k7s5a without having to reboot and go into the bios. Any third party software i can use that'll be accurate? Thanks. Also What kinda temps are you guys getting? I have a 1.2gig thunderbird and it idles around 42 with the case open...
