Relax guys, Anand's working on it - 24/7 slips these pop ups in on us all the time despite our specific instructions to NOT use popups.  They should be gone soon.
just wanted to thank all you guys for the birthday wishes :) I had a great day, but now it's time to get back to work...
and of course happy birthday to everyone else with the same birthday :)
I have to step in here because this is just rediculous. OF COURSE the GeForce fully supports Direct3D and does so just as well as any card from ATI, Matrox, 3dfx, STMicro or anyone else he listed.
In fact, the GF3 is the only card out right now that is truly DX8 (and thus D3D 8) compliant...
The wheels are already turning on some of these reviews, but it takes quite a bit of time to do all the benchmarks and that is what often holds us up on the cool investigative type articles.
I will say, however, that VC-SDRAM really does not provide much of a performance boost in our...
A tad more info for you guys. Check out: Fresh Alloy's NAIAS Coverage - they have a couple more pics as well as some more engine info. They say 260hp from the 3.5L V6 now, which actually probably makes sense. I was beginning to think that 270-280 would be more realistic as soon as I posted...
Saw this thread and aftering seeing NFS4's pic, I just had to do some more digging cause I've always been a big fan of the Z. The official unveiling will be Jan 8 at 12PM EST at the Detroit autoshow (according to NissanDriven.com), but I just couldn't wait. So let's see what we've got here...
Unless otherwise stated, we start with the "normal" setting with sound off and we only change the resolution and color depth as appropriate for the test at hand. We also set the texture color depth to match the frame buffer color depth.
Here's the deal guys - the i850 only supports 1.5V I/O, while other current chipsets support 1.5V or 3.3V. Older stuff, like the BX are only 3.3V. AGP 4X requires 1.5V I/O, but 1.5V I/O does not necessarily mean AGP 4X (although it does in most cases).
So that's why you see GeForce cards with...
joburnet - I see what you're saying about the rating system. However, you have to remember that there are tons of products out there that AnandTech doesn't review - many of which are the ones that would get the 1.5 - 3.0 range of scores.
As for the CUSL2 you got - I'm sorry you're disapointed...
LXi & AdamK47 - 3DS - it's all coming in due time my sons ;) The reason we didn't do it was because the only 760 board we have right now is the reference one from AMD, which for some odd reason doesn't support multiplier manipulation.
Actually guys, this isn't Radeon based AFIK. I'm 99.999999% sure it's an chipset from ArtX, which ATI purchased earlier this year. It does have T&L (a first for an integrated chipset) and will probably be faster than any other integrated chipset at the moment, but it won't be a screamer...
Dooling37 - I visit the busybeetoys Scoop page too fairly often, but unfortunately, the majority of their info comes from these random Japanese car mags, who unfortunately speculate way too much and know photoshop entirely too well. Then the busybeetoys guys add their own speculation on top of...
