Is my power supply dead?

I did so and I think it's the power supply. Everything powers up for 10 secs and dies. The fans, everything. However I fear it may also be a real failed cpu....... :( even if it was caused by th power supply. So I guess it off to warrenty and newegg for a new PSU first.

Ah I'm going with the power supply. I cleared the CMOS and I can't get any power however my little LED lights do light up but I can't get system power up. It was working all last night and throught the week.

Last night I sent my computer to shutdown but when i woke up this morning I found that windows didn't shutdown but encountered an program which it wouldn't end. So, I ended it an d it shutdown and I went to restart it but I receieve an post error of "CPU failed Cpu test" I then shut it down and...

Nevermind got it. I found another fourm with advice to delete a registry key. It worked thanks for all your help.

But, if the Windows drivers are missing or corrupt how will it function. I need correct drivers before anything!

Nope i'll try chipset drivers but like I said they funtion in bos with IDE drivers on the bootdisk.

Corrupt Windows Cd-rom Drivers!

What should I do? Windows is telling me my cd roms drivers are corrupt! I have unistalled and let it find them again. This is a bit of a strange problem for me. My Bios sees them fine and windows sees them just can't use them. I have a NEC 3500a, a 2500 and a Lite-on SOHD-167T They are...

Nope, and they are useable in DOS. I started up today and had this problem. Haven't made any major changes in a few months! I even resorted to follow MS troubleshoot which i found out was what i did the first time to fix it. Uninstall and let MS find it again. Pic

Motherboard Bios Upgrade?

Should I upgrade the bios? I upgraded from 1006 to 1007 and my Fx-53 wouldn't boot I had to get a 90nm A64 and reflash back. They now have 1009 and am wondering if you people thing the same problem would occur.

Can I use a Bootable Floopy to Boot to a Linux Distro

My computer doesn't like booting from cd so I want to know if I can boot from a Floopy to a Cd like Knoppix.

Can you use a Floopy with IDE drivers to boot from a linux cd?

Knoppix or Mandrake Move (Was in Above post) I can read the cd fine but I need to know how to make dos boot from the cd persay.
