Antec P180 initial impressions (Haven't installed anything yet)

That Lian Li is not a better case. By definition, that silly plastic side panel is going to make it noisier. Moreover, it's old 20th-century technology. If you want a case that's expertly designed for both silence and cooling, get the 21st-century design -- i.e., the P180B.

A pivotal moment in my computer build

Well im definatly not waiting. My build has to be done by the end of june. If i can get some good reviews on the MSI board, or if a new board is released by Asus or Epox in the next 3 weeks, ill go AM2. Otherwise its socket 939 for me. Reasonable.

So, we're back to my original contention that AMD will, in fact, continue to release new CPU models in both configurations. It's sure hard to keep up with this, possibly because AMD hasn't truly decided for sure just how long they will continue manufacturing CPUs for DDR RAM.
