I want to assign a desktop shortcut to a keyboard shortcut. So I could close a program (ALT+F4) by clicking on my taskbar, minimise (WIN+M) a program, maximise a program (SHIFT+WIN+M) etc, etc.
It'd be great to learn how to do it.
Is it possible to create keyboard shortcut on the desktop?
For example, could I create a standard Windows shortcut that activates a certain key combination (such as ALT+F4)?
Would it be possible to assign the Windows key to a shortcut aswell?
Could I do this with a .bat file or a script?
Even when auto-hiding the Windows taskbar, there is a small strip of grey along the bottom of the screen. How can I get rid of that strip? I still want to use the taskbar, I just don't want it showing until I need it.
I am using a program called 'Taskbar Activate' which kills that grey strip...
I've never had 8MB of space left over, as some of you suggest this 'alway' happens, this clearly isn't the case.
Can you extend the current partition into the space without creating an extra partition? When I had this problem, I simply made the partition bigger to fill the gap.
This is really strange. I was going to reformat and start again for the above reasons and some others. First I decided to try some other firewalls out, but to no avail. I reghosted my day old image to do some work before the format, and all the sites work! So does the UD Cancer program which...
Well, it was working previously. I am using Norton as neither ZoneAlarm 3, Sygate, or Zone Alarm 2.6 work sufficiently well for some reason or other. Norton was working perfectly last week. Hmmm....I hate it when computers go wrong for no reason!
Or is my PC screwed up?
For some reason I haven't been able to access either the United Devices Cancer Research forums, or the Sharky Extreme Hardware site for about a week. These servers haven't gone down before, is it just my PC?
I am running Windows XP (and firewall), and Norton Firewall...
I use PowerQuest DriveImage 2002. I schedule a virus scan with Norton, then a defrag, than a backup. It happens every night while I sleep. DriveImage boots into DOS, does it's stuff, then reboots.
There's no performance difference.
With two sticks you have a vital backup if one goes bad, but with one you have greater upgrade potential.
I would suggest to wait until the 512MB stick is available, or buy it from somewhere else.
