Is it common to see so many games on both gens?

I remember a few games that were released on 360 (when it launched) and the prior gen systems as well... GUN, Tony Hawks AW, and a few others This transition seem to have a lot more.... (bigger named games)

Are you getting a next gen console on launch?

Was planning on using tax return money for one of them next year, then do the same the following year with tax money.... But for me I've seen very little to justify either purchase right now... the Collector in me wants them NOW, the wallet and my current tastes in games says otherwise...

Part of it was simply the time that XBL was conceived/created, console online gameing up to that point was quite a different beast (not unified, every publisher on their own, etc.), the draw of XBL was that by paying this one fee all games would would be playable (that had on-line features)...

PREDICTION: Microsoft will lose hard on this generation.

Correct, i was thinking along the lines of a doomsday scenario... (From all of the comments in the past that publishers have made on the "evils" of used game sales)

It really doesn't matter anymore since Sony has said thrid parties can do as they please with DRM and on-line passes...

I think nothing of the sort.... but my fear is that 3rd party developers/publisher do and could see the XB1 as their "Safe haven" thus sending more exclusives its way... (hurting PS4 and WiiU... but since that original post it appears that PS4 will allow publishers to do as they wish in regard...

Great points... i am still very surprised that MS didn't get some deals in place with Cable companies to offer the XB1 as a upgraded cable box, as i could easily see alot of people welcomeing it into there living room it it was subsidised in that manner.....

I would have totally jumped on the PS+ service if the "Free Games" remained with me if i should ever let my PS+ membership lapse... as it is (now) its a elaborate rental service, which has me paying for random DLC/Digital Game discounts.... :(

I'm more concerned about 3rd party software.... right now they seem to be supporting both MS and Sony... but what if they turn to MS due to the used game restrictions etc. ?

Thoughts on the Wii U

And Capcom, Sony, 343 etc. etc. did this gen with HD remakes/remasters.... I was hoping for a few surpirse games (i guess DK was one), but over all it was ok... not horrible

Report: Xbox 360 successor can tolerate only brief Internet interruptions

Wow didn't know what was the case(reason) with Indie games (interesting).. as i was under the impression that the ESRB was technically a "voluntary" process.... (More for retail approval etc.)

It would really surprise me is microsoft when though with this for the simple fact that their competitors are not..... but we won't really know till some official annoucements are made... But you can sorta see that MS was trying this out on the current Xbox, for indie games and games that...
