When I used to live near my local MC, I would open up the box, after paying, but before I left the store to make sure what I purchased was what I received. I knew it would be harder to dispute an error after I left the building. I was fortunate that I never had an issue.
I get a few dollars in XRP or Cardano every couple of weeks, about equal to a couple of starbuck's coffees. It's not money that I will miss, and there is a chance it will be worth something, at some point.
I am hoping for some help, because I am woefully out of date when it comes to TV technology.
The wife and I have moved across country and left the still-working 50" Panasonic plasma tv (that we bought somewhere around 2010-2011, I think) in the old home with our adult kids.
We are casual TV...
It's more money, but if you are set on keeping OTA tv, then getting a TIVO may be a good option, especially with lifetime service. I have had mine for about 5-6 years, and it has a nice OTA tv guide that holds about two weeks worth of data. The only problem it has (at least in my area) is it...
My son recently replaced his 2700x with a 5700x on a b350 Tomahawk board. He said he has noticed a real difference in gaming, since his 2700x seemed to be choking his 3070ti. As a side benefit, he says that his room doesn't seem to heat up as much during gaming sessions with the new cpu.
I will probably be listing my extra 6800, locally, this weekend. I don't think I'll have any problems selling it in the low $300 range. It only took a day to sell the other one at that price, and I don't see other local sellers (yet) discounting their ex-mining cards to realistically reflect...
I don't think anything is profitable right now. I only have 4 gpus atm, and did it as a hobby, really. Mining did allow me to pay off a couple of bills several months early and pay for a nice vacation for the wife and I next month.
With work and other time-suck obligations, I mined the...
I am still mining with 4 cards until the merge goes through, and then I will see how the mining landscape looks after the dust settles. If it turns out to be a losing prospect, then my sons will get nice upgrades for their gaming rigs.
Those sellers are going to have a rude awakening in a few weeks , I think.
I mined with 4 to 6 (depending on the time period) cards starting back in Feb of '21. I didn't have any illusions of getting rich, but with some fortunate cash-outs at the right times, I was able to pay off a couple of...
I took apart my 2-card mining rig and sold my 6800 for $300 and 5700xt for 150. Only took me a day to do so, undercutting all the other local sellers and beating the flood of used cards by a couple of weeks. All those that still have their cards listed for much higher prices may have alot more...
Depending on what kind of job you are looking for, some of the larger oil companies can pay pretty decently. If you do work in the industry, you just have to keep in mind that it is often "feast or famine.". My company laid off over half it's work force in 2020 because of the pandemic...
