Wanted to spend less than $1,000.
Wanted a Keyboard, Mouse(Trackpad), 17I LCD/LED, KVM for 1-4 computers (USB keyboard), VGA. Something that fits 1u rack NOT DEEP...

I need an affordable LCD/KEYBOARD/MOUSE - USB
Also it should include a KVM, to choose between the server and 1 pc on the rack.
Saw many places but where is the best one and cheapest?
So whats the verdict?
Broadvoice sucks, and no fax line support - what gives...
Anyhow: I'm thinking of going VONAGE $25 + FAX LINE $10 + TAXES?
Whats the alternative?
In the end what I did was to use 2 gigbeat vcars in the server - one for lan the other for the bondedT1 lines.
So the server is now the DHCP and router.
I got Dell 48port giga switch - Will check to see how it works well.
Basically the bonded t1 performs all the stuff by itself - on the cisco modem/router the company provided.
All I know is that I connected the T1 to the router by only configuring the ip on the router and the internet worked.
I don't need super complicated.
I want simple to manage, giga for transfer speed from the server to the end users.
We are mainly a financial office: We use mainly quickbooks, excel word files, bloomberg, and lots of real estate searching (google earth, msn live)
So I need to manage the flow...
My cisco 871 - died
My 24 port 10/100 is in need to upgrade.
What do you guys recommend for a new Router, and 48 PORT giga switch?
All cables have been upgraded to CAT 6. At the moment the DHCP is coming from the WIN2003 Server (Not sure if I should give it over to the router?) We have...
Thanks to everyone.
In the end, I used an Dell 9200 system - which is very silent ++++
Core 2 6300 (1.86ghz)
4 gig Ram
2x 1.5gig HD WD
Very overkill, but I'm going to adding add-ins and will see how much it stresses the system. Better be strong than need to upgrade later.
Guys looking back the POST was not meant to create a problem. My wife wants to access the collections, especially all of the kids DVD'S in a server so she always can show them different dvd's without scratching them and ruining them as the maids already have done so.
Now it is a convinience to...
Proving... I can cut the UPC from the boxes?
Look there has to be a place that sell already digitised forms of the DVD? Itunes... but I'm not paying $15-20 for the same dvd I already own and the quality won't be the same.. although not bad.
I have close to 500-1000 dvd's and don't want to rip individually each dvd to the WHS.
Is there a place I can get the highest quality rip for the same titles i CURRENTLY OWN?
ONLY WANT TO BUY RIPPED VERSIONS OF THE DVD'S I OWN.
Dani
Nm, go right ahead.
