Best A+ Certification book?

Nice, seems like a great resource! This is the 2006 edition right? (They just updated the tests within the past month) it says on Amazon "Publisher: McGraw-Hill Osborne Media; 6 edition (December 20, 2006)" but just checkin ;)

System Memory: Are we paying way too much for it?

Look at the cache on our processors. L2 cache is SRAM, and pay substantially more for more of it than we do with system memory. Even when everything else is the same like with the AMD Venice vs. San Diego, and it's only 512K more. Are we overpaying for that, I mean come on we can get a whole...

Conroe buying guide is up.

Sweet. I like the motherboard reviews and it looks like the Biostar TForce P965 Deluxe is a great board at a good price. Not as high end as some of the others, but that's good because I go more for higher end budget builds. I think I'm sold. However I'm completely lost in all the memory...

iRAM is moving too slow we need to replace hard disk drives!

Dell P3 dying?

I had an old P3 that, when the memory wasn't in the system right, would display similair problems. that system used an integrated gpu so it was using the ram as vram. I would guess that if there's a dedicated card it's the ram that is possibly damaged or overheating, or if it's integrated it may...

Basically all I have as far as security goes is Avast! antivirus always running, and a router which I understand is a "hardware firewall." Router security settings are basically stock so the ports are closed except for one that I used for a bittorrent. Window's security has caused problems so...

Haven't seen any dell 2005fpw lately there... but supposedly at the end of february dell will start pumping out the discounts so I'll keep looking.

I'm very interested in the Dell 2005FPW. What is the easiest way to watch out for the best price/coupons for it? I've heard of it dipping as low as $350 so I'm hoping to get it for around $400 shipped.

Backlight bleeding opinions

ok I think I'm just going to go for it then. any way to make sure that my radeon 9700 will support the 1600x1050? And what's the best way to look out for sales/rebates on this thing? I've heard of the price dropping to $350 at times because dell just loves giving out rebates
