Changing Refresh Rate changes Mouse Speed Under Win XP??

intake fan question

I recently bought a computer with a barton 2500+. I overclocked it to 2 Ghz at 200 FSB. Anways I noticed my cpu temp and case temp were quite high. around 38 C (case) & 48 C (cpu) at idle and about 5-10 C higher at full load. Right now, my case does not have any fans except for the PSU. I'm...

How do I overclock a 2500+ FSB? Total noob, I know...

Question about computer store discounts

I was wondering why some computer stores give you a discount(around 3%) on parts if you pay by cash or debit as opposed to paying by credit card? Are there any drawbacks by paying cash??

Viewsonic Monitors

I'm planning on buying a a viewsonic g75f 17 inch monitor. I was wondering what your opinions are on viewsonic monitors and particularly the g75f. The g75f is supposed to be able to do 1280X1024 at 80 Hz which sounds pretty good. Is 1280X1024 too large of a resolution for a 17 inch monitor?

questions about audio setup on abit nf7-s

thanks for the quick reply. Does the popping sound you described happen alot or just in certain games? Also, how is the sound quality through headphones? I heard that there is some hiss or distortion with this MB if you hook up headphones.

Woooahh!! 9500 > 9700 Mod Successful

Sorry, i forgot to ask another question. By modding the 9500 to 8 pipelines, would this cause increased heat in the video card(like overclocking)? thank you

would this mean that the 9500 modded would perform the same as a 9700?? Or does it just mean that 8 pipelines are enabled but the card will still be slower than a 9700? Also, how do you think the modded 9500 would compare to a 9600pro?? thanks

2 cable modems & 1 ip

Currently i have 1 cable modem and 1 IP address running for my computer. I just found out that my brother has another cable modem that he's not using. I was wondering if it was possible to actually run both cable modems so i could use 1 modem for my computer and the other for another computer...

need helping buying combination of cpu and ram

Hi, i'm thinking of building a computer and needed some advice. I was planning on buying amd xp 2400+ thoroughbred and ddr333 ram. then i found out that this cpu only runs at 133 fsb, which is a slower fsb than the ddr333 ram. The 2500+ Barton has a 166 fsb which would match up with the fsb...
