burning a .bin and .cue under XP

I can't seem to get any progs working that will burn a .bin or .cue under XP. I have a Sony 12/8/32 burner. When I try and use Cdrwin it reboots my computer as soon as I run the prog. Fireburner simply won't find my burner and says it can't find asapi.dll (sp?). Ez cd creator 5 platinum...

I have my IBM PC Camera that I just bought plugged into the usb port in the break-out box of my Hercules GTXP. It seems to not be communicating with the IBM software, it says it has been unplugged so it cannot get a picture. I followed the directions and installed the software first...

MySQL problems

Ok I'll make this simpler. If you had a perfectly clean install of RH 7.1 what would you do to configure mysql. I'm a total n00b so please be scpecific. ie: how do you setup clients for mysql, do you have to tell it path names, is their a command line configuration? Thanks.

MySQL problems

I did '# service mysqld start' and it stated that it started ok. But still no luck. Is there anything you have to configure in the my.cnf for it to work correctly? The error message I get in the logs is 'can't find file /mysql/host.frm' yet the file is there.

Help! Auto login of TweakUI crashing my Win2k box.

I've never seen a wrong password make Win2k Bluescreen, it usually just brings up an error message then lets you retry the password.

I have a Maxtor Model #: 512024U2 (10GB 7200 rpm). Are these drives known to go bad? I think mine may be headed down hill.

How Long For Domain Names?

bump, anyone else have any input? I don't really need to know how long it takes for the namservers to take effect, I need to know how long after I register a domain it becomes acitve.
