It went into a server. WD drives in there now with no failures.
Do a search of Seagate ST31000340AS 7200.11 drives. Seagate had a huge number of failures. A firmware patch was supposed to correct things. It didn't. Warranty replacements were the same failing drives. They cycle repeated...
1 year... 5 year... doesn't really matter. I had 4 of 4 seagate 1 tb drives fail. The warranty replacements failed. The replacements of the warranty replacements failed. In the end, you don't even want the warranty replacement. I will never buy a Seagate drive again.
I concur. I've had all 4 seagate internal HDs fail. I've had all their refurb warranty units fail. I've had the refurb warranty unit replacing the refurb warranty unit fail.
Seagate quality has gone south. I would not recommend Seagate to anyone except my worst enemy.

4/19/12-4/25/12. I know some who get better deals on Milorganite at Farm & Fleet, etc. but in my area of Ohio, this is the cheapest it has been in years. Normal price is $12+. Still the best fertilizer that I know of. 4% naturally chelated iron. One bag covers 2500sq.ft.
