I'm running an Abit I35 Pro, but I believe this information is correct. It always starts out with the CMOS checksum error because the clear bios jumper is enabled by default (when the board is shipped). Is this jumper still on clear CMOS? Check your manual.
My computer always shuts down...
:disgust:Now you sound like my wife....
Yes, I should have stayed far away from the inside of my computer but I have been building my own for years and never had these problems. Components just seem to be less compatible these days.
I should have bought that cyberpower rig in the...
Loaded up my new OCZ PC2 8500 memory.
Stable on Memtest86+ and SP2004 for 7 hours. Finally!
Guess I damaged my memory when my MB shorted. Only took me 3 motherboards, 2 sets of RAM, and 2 power supplies to get a stable set up....
Tried my new PSU yesterday.
Ran Memtest86 X 3 no problem. When I ran SP2004 after 30 minutes received a brief blue screen flash and computer rebooted. Ran memtest86 again without errors. Have not tried to stress system since then.
Well, changing the PSU didn't help. Memory seems to be...

Ran memtest after originally increasing voltage to 2.2 and manually setting timings. No problems after multiple runs.
However, ran it again after the last blue screen and multiple errors appeared. Increased voltage again to 2.3 volts and I was able to run it again without errors.
If I...
Frustration?
Trying to build a new computer for about a month and had a number of issues. Wanted to upgrade my old Athlon/AGP system- purchased an ASUS P5N-E SLI, 8800GT, Coolermaster 750 PSU, G. Skill PC 6400 RAM and 6750 CPU.

Thanks, but there is a few things that are still not clear after looking at the Gigabyte website. I still don't know the difference between a P35 and a EP35 series; they have the same system specs. I believe the C mean they can take both DDR3 and DDR2 but I think that is the only difference...
I broke a pin on the socket in my Gigabyte P35 DS3R motherboard so I'm out to purchase another board. Probably going to stay with P35 based Gigabyte board. Can anyone make sense of the Gigabyte word salad? All the models sound very similar. I think the EP-35 versions have the revised...
Well, no dice. Loaded F11 and no changes.
BIOS says:
Loading DMI pool data....
Boot from CD/DVD:
Boot from CD/DVD
If I have the Windows disc in my player, it will then say "hit key to load from CD"; if I don't hit any key, Windows loads normallly.
If no CD is in the drive, I...
I recently put together a system using a Geforce 650 based motherboard but had to abandon it due to significant system instability. I purchased my Gigabyte P35-DSR3 (revision 2.1) two days ago and have been toying with it constantly since then. After much tweaking, I have it running stable at...
For those that are considering G. Skill I could not install Windows on my new machine with their PC2 6400 2 GB kit. Blue screens aplenty. Was able to install windows after removing one stick. I then purchased Crucial Balistix 2 Gig and it runs fine at 800 MHz in dual channel mode. It could...
