(Dead) Pacific Digital, Mad Dog, Microadvantage or Khypermedia 8x DVD Burner for "$19.99" AR & AC at Officmax

I got the mad dog NEC 2500A drive and I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with it if its hooked up to a ME-325 series external enclosure. Every time I run dvdxcopy express it crahses the system as its reading the dvd. I updated the firmwear and it still has the same problem.
