Geforce GTX 1060 Thread: faster than RX 480, 120W, $249

Coming from a GTX760 with 2GB of RAM (that runs the games I play perfectly fine, but struggles with newer AAA titles), I think there is no case for the GTX1060 3GB, and even less for the 6GB version. I'm probably gonna buy the RX 480 later this year, I really don't think I'll get much better...

Crappy whining capacitors

Win 7 or 10?

I have Windows 10 at work and Windows 7 at home. My advice is, unless you want that specifically requires Windows 10, go with Windows 7. Never mind the price. Windows 7 is worth it, even if its extended support will end in four years (which is what you want to worry about anyway). However, if...

Farcry and Uplay

They were not made by the same company. Far Cry 1 is Crysis 0, the predecessor to Crysis, by Crytek. Far Cry 2, 3 and 4 and all the rest are just sandbox shooters done by Ubisoft Montreal, the same studio that does Assassin's Creed, Tom Clancy's shooters and Watch Dogs.

Thank you very much for this very clear answer to my question. It bodes ill for the future of bleeding-edge PC gaming though :\ Oh well, que será será... But it does mean that I'll have to shell out a considerable amount of money in the near future, if my recording needs grow as I expect them...

That is true, but the GTX960 is listed at 230 and it's basically 10% faster than the GTX760. I know what you're saying, but the next reasonable upgrade from a 760 on the nVidia side is a 970. And that's listed at a whopping 375. :\

I don't understand Twitch?

Big YouTubers earn twice that per hour of WORK. Considering each video big TouTubers release is like 5 to 10 hours of work at least... You do the math. Twitch is about watching somebody else game. The SOMEBODY part is very important, and sometimes, it's not even about the game at all...
