I have this problem, it idles at 74C and runs at 108C, with stablity but that is too high. Where is this bios you are talking about.

Btw, I think the reason you'll find that the P4 does rather well at WMV HD is that the P4 has a far superior SSE2 implamentation and a FPU designed for SSE2 which is very handy for video tasks. Plus hyperthreading helps.

I don't know what that is, but the only nVidia chip is has is the nforce 3 250. It has a realtek sound chip. Well it's been shown that it works fine at dual channel 400. "not guaranteed" I think what that really means is that not all motherboard makers design their boards to support memory...

Single channel memory for s754 mobo

Well what is this K8N-E? I have a K8NS-Pro. And it really depends on the motherboard's bios, the specs say the motherboard should default to 166mhz when there are 2 sticks of dual sided ram, but some motherboards just default to 200mhz. And are you using 2T timings?
