For what it's worth, if there's a lesson here from all the above posts, it is simply when you buy one of microcenter's firesale price cpu's, exercise some restraint and don't buy a video card, etc for $20-30 higher than you can find online.
I bought a q8200 to build an htpc that I won't need...
I just jumped on one of the q8200's in the hot deals section to use for an HTPC build. I'm now looking for a very cheap but stable motherboard for it. I guess I could OC it a little, but this isnt a primary concern.
I dont know much about chipsets for these other than the P45 - please...
Got online ordering (to store pickup) working today, and they hold for 3 days. If anyone has one anywhere local or can make arrangements for someone to pick it up, i say go for it
of course microcenter offers both e8400/motherboard cpus and this the week I'm out of the country.
To rub it in newegg is now offering $5 off the Q8200. I guess 164.99 is almost 100...
Not sure if DVI works with HDCP, but in either case anydvd fixes any hdcp compliance issues
For those who don't want BSG, fry's has a similar deal but with the first two bourne movies instead of bsg (you still get king kong)

It's hard to not get...
I remember seeing the issues with the $99 tv - nonetheless I got in on one of these for 109 I believe (E5200 and 250GB hard drive).
I paid with paypal - will the paypal payment be stuck on hold from my bank account until Dell cancels this (assuming they do)? Or will it just never be...
honestly, $170 shipped for a solid 24" is still pretty warm. I got what looks like a brand new one (gently used and refurbished, not at all like the hp 23.5 i ordered before), and it still looks great, though of course a TN panel.
