USB 2.0 Hell

My PIII 850 now posts at 845Mhz.

Anyone use the Slot-T?

I have the same motherboard, and just purchased a PIII to go into the Slot-T. I held back purchasing the Heatsink/Fan, until I saw the clearance of the whole apparatus in my system. What cooling do you use? Does it seem like most HS/f's would fit? Actually, I am assuming that I use FCPGA...

Did I miss the boat on BX Overclocking?

I have been looking for a PIII 800E, and/or a Celeron 1.4 so I can give new life to my BX boards (Abit BE6-II, AOpen AX-6), but it looks like I am too late to actually find one in stock anywhere, or on eBay, or in FS/T... Does anyone have any suggestions for a good alternative that I can...

Next step from 440BX in a SLOT1 Board?

I think I blew out my trusty AOpen AX6B motherboard (sniff). I don't really mind replacing it, but I suspect that some advances have been made in the Slot1 Chipset arena for a Graphics Intensive PC that only runs SCSI. I can't afford to buy new RAM, Processor, etc., but I would spring for the...

I was recently troubleshooting some hard drives for a friend, and had my copmuter open, with the drive in question hanging out. During one trial, I noticed that I had booted up before connecting the power to the drive. I scrambled to plug in the drive power before it was too late, but fumbled...
