Exactly what I think. Of course an i7 + Nvidia dGPU config is better than 35w Carrizo. But it should cost a whole lot more. If AMD can get 75 percent of the Intel config at 60 percent of the price, it will be right on the sweet spot. I don't want 15w Carrizo. Relative scores might be better...

I hate the empty spaces in such notebooks, especially the HP. For goodness sake, fill them with something useful! Like extra connectors (M.2, mini PCI-E), space for batteries, or an extra 2.5" SATA slot. Where's the time OEMs innovated to pack as much stuff in a notebook chassis as possible...

Basically, I think you agree with me. You are saying that longer battery life is nice, I say the same. But thats only provided the OEMs don't start mounting smaller and cheaper batteries, as soon as they can. And if you're saying your need for performance is satisfied with only an Ivy Bridge...

That is not true, the Intel U tier models are still a whole class faster than 4core Bay Trail Atoms. When you say overpriced low tdp parts i think of Core M (the previous Y tier), but if I'm not mistaken they don't indeed sell very well! So that only proves my point that this is a meagre...

That's a pity. You're based in the Netherlands too, right? My current notebook I imported from Germany, usually their offers are better than ours. Par example; Lenovo does offer less formfactors here than they do in other countries. I'm still hoping for a 14 inch part with the FX8800p at 35w...

Im really wondering if the difference is notable in everydays tasks. And as soon as you start gaming, you'll be held back by slow ram and low tdp. The business case / market segment for this 15w Carrizo seems very meagre because low segment will be covered by Carrizo-L and lower main by I3.
