Which Ipod to get?

I like my Dell DJ's more than my iPod Mini. The software is more windows friendly, and you are not paying iPod/hype tax. The Cowan Jetaudio X5s seem sweet, because they do radio as well, and the L series is boasting up to 35 hours battery life... My co-worker just bought a Nano, and found...

Didn't online orders work too? I remember there was something about that last year, that made it easier to get the stuff that sold out quick, since they do have some stock piles at their distribution centers (and they end up doing that for you instore later in the morning anyway).

I did see a flyer with these items in it. I have a pair of those gloves, they're pretty good for stuff where you need good feel. Work okay for biking in cooler weather too.

DVD drive randomly opens ?!?

I just did a clean re-install of XP Pro last week. I have Norton AV corp version running (since install). I have Zonealarm running (since install). Everytime I come upstairs and sit down next to my comp, the DVD tray is hanging out. Before the re-install it only did it once a day, but today it...

DVD drive randomly opens ?!?

My DVD-ROM drive opens randomly, I have poked through the logs in the Event Viewer, but have seen nothing that coincides with the timing of the tray popping out. Any ideas as to what services/programs might be doing this? It is kind of annoying, my 2 year old daughter came walking up to me with...

ECS L4VXA2 and 2.4 celeron

Alrighty, did a reinstall with APM disabled in the BIOS, and things are looking much better at this point. Inistially, I tried turning off APM and then booting in the previous Win install, and it kept rebooting ie endless looping, therefore the reinstall.

I'll give that a shot when I get home. I tried running the fail-safe setting on the bios, and that made things much worse (wouldn't even finish booting). Then I tried the optimized sttings, and it actually lasts longer before it freezes now (I made it an hour).

Hmmm, I messed with the BIOS some more last night, and tried the fail-safe setting... big mistake. Never even would finish booting into windows. Then I tried the optimized settings, and it was a ton better. It seems the harder I push it, the more stable it is.
