Asus p4pe installation

Hi there, I'm a fairly new guy to it all as well. I also just bought a P4Pe mobo and a Antech case. Not sure I have those same wires, My case only has USB ports in the front, no firewire. I am curious if you plan on using your onboard sound card or do you plan on using a Sound blaster or...

No sound on my P4PE????

Thanks guys, I did find it in the BIOS. I think what the problem is that I don't have the right cable from my speakers. I have some Cambridge Soundwork speakers that about 3 years old. The Digital output cable coming from the subwoofer doesn't match up with the SPIDF input plug. (diferent type...

No sound on my P4PE????

For some reason I'm not getting any sound when I hook up soundblaster 4.1 speakers when using the Sound Max onboard sound. Is it possible that it was disabled in the bios or something? I looked in the bios but I don't see anything to disable the sound. Am I missing something???

How can I remove windows explorer???

Why can't I locate this? I type in gpedit.esc and it tells me that windows cannot find it? Is this something only available in WinXP pro???

GForce vs ATI Radeon in 2D

I have a 3D Blaster Annihilator currently and looking to purchase a ATI Radeon 7500. I was wondering how much of an improvment I will see in 2D/windows quality. Hopefully quite a bit because it really sucks now...LOL

New intel motherboard (recommend)???

I'm looking for a new motherboard that is very stable and performs well. I currently have a ASUS CUSL2 MB and love it. It's the most stable hassle free motherboard I have ever owned. Since I want to stay with the Intel processor, can anyone recommend and good motherboard for a 1.4 or higher...

XP- Home or Pro???

THanks.... I do have one question. I have XP Pro and my sister has Home. I noticed in the link it said that Home version doesn't have remote access. But on my sisters Home version it has the program on the start menu for remote access?

How do I remove Linux???

How do I remove Linux without removing my boot file? I'm currently running Win98, Win2K and Linux all on diff partitions. If I just format the Linux partition will I be able to boot back to my dual boot that windows provides?
