nvidia drivers.. which ones do you use and why?

the only reason i ask is because i have two friends with gainward's 4600 that had BSOD's with the 29.42 and only got stability on the 30.82 drivers. maybe they are just screwed up... or maybe its gainwards drivers... i don't know. anyway thanks

nvidia drivers.. which ones do you use and why?

I was hoping to gain a little insight into what drivers work for what people, and why sometimes they don't . I'm posting this because I'm going to be installing my new graphics card in approximately 10 days, and I was wondering what ones to use. FYI its a MSI gf 4 TI4400

i flew from san diego to boston at the end of last summer, and i double boxed my fully loaded computer before sending it fedex. i was glad i did, when i received my computer in boston there was a gaping hole in the first box, through the insulation to the second. when i showed it to the fedex...

taking hardware on the plane ok?

OK, so i've got my brand new graphics card in hand (well i will in a month or less) and my plane ticket in the other. My question is, can i take the card through the metal detectors, infrared scanners, and whatever else i'll see in line at security, without harming my card, or should i pack it...

So finally, the end result. CPUFSB does not work. the program does have my PLL listed, using any other PLL at any speed makes the system crash. I think pin taping would work, but my guess is the motherboard does not have adequate voltage to support 100mhz FSB. It starts up and crashes. I guess i...

in the mobo manual,the pins for the slot 1 connector aren't labeled abc etc, they just have numbers. Ill look up pin 21 (or B21 if it is actually there) anyway, when pin taping, what do i tape pin 21 to? and what kind of tape are we talking here? im assuming when i tape this pin, im gonna be...

so im looking at the intel mobo specs, and the only pin chart i can find for pin taping that lists pin B21 has pin B21 as the IRQ 7 pin under the ISA connector. Perhaps im reading it wrong. Ive also been messing around with CPUFSB, and it the program asks me to find my specific PLL. For those...

so i looked up the motherboard specs from intel, and i am going to try taping the pin, after i try the cpufsb program. thanks for all the responses, been busy replacing the heatsink on the cpu, the fan had practically fallen off by the time i got to it

does anyone have information about the SE440BX motherboard. Ive got that and an old celeron 333A and i was looking to overclock it. Intel isnt very helpful on this and i wondered if anyone had info on how to do it for this board thanks

anybody use PC certify?

Anybody use the pc certify program? I just got it from Maximum PC, and every time i try to run the system diagnostic it quits back to windows 2000 professional before doing anything. Anybody had any luck with this product? --- This is the place to discuss the latest computer hardware issues...

an interesting project

i have an old intel 440BX motherboard with 333 celeron a w/ heatsink. Since the mobo supports up to 450, i figure i can overclock at least this high without a problem. I am not so confident that the heatsink can handle the added burden. I am already planning to add a baybus to the case with 5...

Atapi/Ide zip 100 Problems....

There is a service that the zip drive runs called ziptoa which will allow the zip drive to recognized as if it was the a drive allowing you to use it as a boot disk. Im not sure how it works, i guess it runs automatically. I disabled it because it slows my startup and shutdown time. You might...
