Just got back from the Atlanta session and it's pretty much like everyone described..I enjoyed it. Glad to know this isn't just an evaluation copy of 7. I wouldn't call Microsoft..with Vista they had a page you could order the 64bit version from directly. But I assume they won't do this until...
I've seen the HD radio work in person. It did pick up in my area(where the Best Buy was). I was hoping to see the browser myself but the store didn't provide an open wifi to use. The touch keypad looked functional..the letters slightly enlarged as u pressed them. But it also took up most of the...
Y'know I bought Vista so if I luck up and get a copy I'll forget all about those $300 I "wasted". Doing asp.net at work currently anyway, this should be interesting.
That's basically like buying a standard price CD per month with 10 tracks. But atleast u get to virtually sample an unlimited amount of mp3's. I saw the ZuneHD in person today (suprisingly my town was on the preview list)..and it was a very well designed device. The touch interface response is...
nismo that sounds like u basically buy a drive from the store, take it's key data and return it. To be honest I'm on the fence about hacking the disk upgrade..it's right up my alley..i've hacked many things before. But, I'm still inclined to believe people about those bans...even if u return...
M3 Real is great and it has high capacity support. The R4 to me..is the best, stability wise, but you may run out of space with only 2Gb. People really seem to love CycloDS..i'd probably recommend that even though I don't have it.
Got a Jasper(Arcade) from Dell with 20% off retail. It cost me $167 with shipping. Considering I originally tried to wait for Falcon, getting Jasper after waiting another whole year is pretty nice (I'm still beating the latest PS2 and PC games...no rush).
It was listed as XGX-00019 on Dell's...
Sorry to bring this post back up but I had dual channel problems with the DS3L too with Crucial TWINX. First the voltage to the DDR2 needs to be increased over the default. I managed to POST after that...but then Windows would still BSOD. I updated to the latest BIOS and the BSOD stopped.
I used to have an Asus P5KC which I wasn't satisfied with. I had issues with getting my Xfi and Geforce to work together in XP. I also would get random failures in device manager from normal windows devices. Every reboot it seemed like there was a certain group of devices that would not work. I...
Mt x1950xt is an awsome card..just can't stand the heat any longer (my room gets toasty). Got a GTS to last me until next year..hopefully geforce 10 + die shrink by then. This is typical for Nvidia IMO...but it seems like they have found a way to charge premiums more frequently with the same gpu...
If he's not a heavy gamer his system is still adequate..he prob just needs a cheap ddr2 stick along with what Denithor suggested and he is good to go. Geforce 6 is great..but IMO there are far superior options at low price points now.
