what's with all the 16:9 monitors now a days?

Just got upgraded at work to a 22" 1920x1080 monitor (from a 19" 1280x1024). I prefer it to the 1680x1050 I'm on now (more pixels) and do not care at all that the aspect ratio is the same as my TV (also a monitor). Works well for my office work, I'm already fine with gaming on my tv. In...

Time to convert CD collection to a hard drive

My CD's average a little over 350MB each in FLAC 450*350= 157500MB or give or take 157GB- hate to say it, but you may be right about yer math skillz

7900gs - All video playback dark & red??

Odd problem (not even sure if it is hardware). Any video playback (AVI, DVD, Youtube, etc) comes out way too dark and shifted to the red. Desktop, games, etc are all fine. I have the same problem regardless of the player (WMP, VLC, embedded video in sites like youtube). Any ideas?
