MX1000 is heavier then the 700. If you dont care about wieght 1000 is much more precies and responsive than the 700.

What do you use your laptop for?

You don't have to use the handwriting to type mechanism. It can just capture exactly what you draw on the screen. Its just like paper literally. I would get a motion tablet the new one that came out. It is spendy. But if you figure in more productivity and what not and better...

Get a tablet PC. Will be worth it. Use desktop for "hardcore" engineering programs/programming.

seagate rebates suck!

Hissing 1901FP

Unpluged it overnight then plugged it in and ran it, was louder then before. So i called dell and they established there was something wrong with it, it took 50 mins for them to get me a batch number. -MTXR

What do you mean hooked up? Like the USB cord hooked up to the desktop? The USB cord is not connected to the desktop and i still hear the noise. I don't have any USB devices hooked up into the monitor now.. and i guess you could classify it as a whine. I really didn't have any words for it...
