I've been monitoring the price of laptops the last few weeks and they continue to drop. As I don't usually monitor when their sale periods are, can anyone give me a more specific time frame as to when Dell usually stops slashing prices?

I encountered this as well. It also said, "Not available for in-store pickup." Don't follow that b/c I went to the store and picked it up for $9.99. You won't need the ad.

I once got a DVD that had spots all over it. It wasn't water spots either. My first guess would be some kind of acid. It probably wasn't but I have no idea what it was. I've never seen anything like it. Needless to say, but the DVD didn't work.

I don't think you can do anything about it. If you place a bid, then that means you agree to the terms specified in the auction. You just have to wait it out. If you try to ask for your money back when the terms are clearly laid out in the item description, you are breaching the contract.
