yes, i'm specifically talking about blacks and dark colors at off-center. it's primarily an issue while watching movies. when i'm playing games, i honestly don't give image quality and black levels much thought really..although some might. especially if you're watching a movie with someone...

hmm..i dunno what it is exactly. it just seems that its harder to see a fast-moving image (like when you jerk the mouse across the screen) on the ds than on the g2400w or 906bw. although, i wasn't able to test them one after the other. i had to send back the ds before i got my g2400w. i...

oh hmm..yeah i dunno about the nec. as for he 3.3ms lag on the planar and ds - from what i read on hardforum (i think in the planar thread), the planar has about a frame of input lag..and i thought the ds was just slightly below that.

oh and i forgot to mention - of the 3 monitors i've used over the past few months (275t+, ds-263n, g2400w), none of them had BLB or dead/stuck pixels. although when i originally turned on the g2400w, it appeared to have a patch of dead pixels and 2 dead in other places..but since then they...

from what people have posted on hardforum, the planar is a little slower than the doublesight (1 frame compared to less than a frame). 1 frame is about 16ms - i'm not sure where you got 3.3ms. it seems the g2400w does indeed have exceptional performance for a '24" TN 5ms panel', both on...

no, besides the not having a polarizer it too slow for competitive first-person shooters. and i don't like the contrast and black levels either..but tn doesn't offer much more on those issues

i got the ds-263n several weeks ago, and played around with it for a week and a half. mine did not have the polarizer and this was very annoying because i watch a fair amount of movies and tv on my computer. off-angle it made black look like white..even looking straight on it was noticeable in...

dunno how much improvement 24" is compared to a 22" monitor. you can look up lcd's at http://www.prad.de/en/ to see panel types. i'm using 2x 20" 4:3 lcds at work (both 1600x1200) and i'm constantly out of screen space

hey 10e - i got the g2400w last night and i noticed that gamma seems to be lower than it should be (1.8 instead of 2.2), at least using lagom.nl's test. is yours like this too?

my advice is to get a 22" (or 24") TN, since you aren't planning on watching movies on your monitor once u get a hdtv. the g2400w looks like a nice 24" tn. i've only briefly looked through 22" tn's and it's been hard trying to find a low-input one. oh i just noticed that xtknight finally...
