DFI 875B Lan Party Pro Problem

I just built a system with this motherboard, P4 2.6C CPU, Win XP, Adaptec 39160 SCSI controller, 36GB U160 SCSI HDD. It's weird. I installed XP onto the SCSI HDD (c: Drive) & when the system boots, I get a message that NT boot loader is not found, yet when I put the XP CD into my CD-ROM drive...

*** Official ASUS P4C800/Deluxe (875P) Thread ***

Good Dual Xeon Mobo for Gaming?

*** Official Gigabyte 8KNXP/Ultra (875P) Thread ***

I'm considering a GA-8KNXP. I'll be using the following: P4 3.0C 1GB PC-3200 (probably Kingston) Dual 36GB Raptors RAID 0 Radeon 9800 Pro I know there have been some RAM & SATA issues with this board. Has anyone else tried the F8 BIOS with success? Should I just avoid this mobo? TIA

Cenatec solid state disk

http://www.cenatek.com/ I'm really tempted to buy the $800 (4GB) card with no RAM & would add my own RAM later. Imagine running a swap file or some games off this puppy :D Who thinks this would be worth it?

Get rid of swap file w/2GB RAM?

OK, I'll be building a new P4 3.0 system soon & I'm debating getting either 1GB or 2GB of RAM. I'll be OC'ing, so I'll get high speed RAM, but I was wondering if I get 2GB RAM (4 x 512MB DIMMS) if I'd be able to get rid of Win XP's swap file to improve performance. Has anyone tried this? 2GB RAM...

Dual Opteron Gaming Worth it?

I'm thinking about buidling a dual Opteron 244 or 246 system. I'm a big fan of Dual-processor systems. This would basically coast me about $550-600 more than a P$ 3GHZ system I was considering building. Wondering if the performance would be worth it? I mainly want to use the system for gaming...

Asus P4C800E Deluxe VCore Question

I'm considering buying this board. According to the manual for this mobo, max. VCore Voltage is 1.6. 3 questions are: Have any of you with this board found 1.6 VCore limiting? How does this look for an overclocking setup? Is standard P4 HSF good enough? If not, recommend good HSF for OC'ing...

Feedback on DFI Lan Party 875B Pro?

2.8GHz Celeron Worth it?

I plan on using Win XP Pro SP1 if that matters. Thanks Nebor - Anyone else? Are the newest Celerons really that sucky? Last Celeron I bough was a 1GHz for a crappy box I built just for web surfing & email. It has a PCI vid card - LOL :Q

I've only bought a couple of hard drives from them & have bought most of my hardware from MWave. As far as I know, I've never gotten anything from them that was used, but have seen a few posts on this forum from people saying they got used items that were supposed to be new. I'm just wondering...
