Customizing WinXP Installation CD

ActuaryTm, I read all the descriptions of the softwares that you mentioned, but they only integrated SPs and hotfixes. I'm talking more like OEM implementations. I suppose it can only be done by imaging solutions like Ghost, eh? Thanks for the suggestions.

Customizing WinXP Installation CD

Hi all, Just wondering about something. I'm thinking about making my own customized version of Windows XP. What I mean is that when WinXP finishes installing, I'd want new version of DirectX, Divx codecs, Winamp/WMP and/or other programs installed. I'm talking something like recovery disks...

Sell Abit FX5600XT or keep?

I'm looking for a DX9 card... I heard that Radeon 9600 overclocks pretty well...some can clock up to 420MHz for core... I'm looking to buy this card http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-289&depa=1 Is this a good choice for my budget?

Sell Abit FX5600XT or keep?

HAH! Ok...I'm sold...I guess I'll just Ebay it.... Could someone please recommend a Radeon w/ budget of around $120ish...? Something that's quite overclockable....I'm looking at Radeon 9600... I also heard that non-third party (direct) ATI card has 3 yrs warranty...is it true?

Sell Abit FX5600XT or keep?

Recently, I RMAed my Abit Ti4200-128MB 8X card for the 3rd time. Their RMA dept has finally gave in and sent me a new FX5600XT. Was wondering if this new card is nice or not? Thought of selling the FX5600XT card away and get a "similar" performace card from ATI. Something like Radeon 9600...

Problem booting up (MSI KT4 Ultra FISR

Yey!! I finally realized what is wrong with the whole thing. I re-applied some thermal paste to the heat sink yesterday. Apparently, some small area of the CPU core did not get the thermal paste. I guess the automatic shutdown is a way of the mobo preserving the CPU. Thanks very much for those...

Problem booting up (MSI KT4 Ultra FISR

Hi, Thanks for all the inputs so far. I've tried clearing CMOS and the HSF is spinning perfectly fine (it's plugged to the mobo header, using HSF that comes with retail AMD CPU). I tried downclocking the RAM and CPU to 133MHz (266MHz DDR), it then could boot into Windows for like 15 secs and it...

Problem booting up (MSI KT4 Ultra FISR

Yah forgot to add in. It boot up just fine, no unusual beep or whatsoever. It just automatically turns off when it goes past the POST screen. Any help is greatly greatly appreciated.

Hello, I've tried the usual "take out all cards and try installing one by one". It's no use. I've used this system for almost 1 yr now. Just yesterday, it was acting up. I suspect there's something wrong with the mobo. My roommate system died too 2 days ago. His mobo has some weird stuff...

How do you update the video card driver in Mandrake 8.1?

I just finished installing Mandrake 8.1. I was forced to use default video driver, Fberdv (or something like that). Right now, my eyes are hurting because my monitor is flickering. So how do I update my vid card? I've gone to Nvidia website, and got these 2 files...
