I'll require a source on that, that would imply AMD's 14nm+ "refreshes" (Vega and Zen) are going to be quite a bit different than I expected it. Unless AMD is using the "14nm+" they used for Polaris 20. EDIT: Now that I think about it, Raven Ridge might be using "14nm+" as well considering...

Speaking of VM, does anyone know if VMware/Xen/QEMU have been updated for Zeppelin's topology? I don't imagine it will be pretty if a VM dedicates two cores and those cores are core3 and core4 in different CCX.

It's unlikely, a but a third set of drivers called "Prosumer"? Which would fit the jack of all trades label. Though I can't imagine AMD having the resources for new driver teams.

Did anyone notice the compilation time scaling? The dual socket Naples got 15.7 seconds while the single socket 33.7 seconds, that's a 115% difference with 100% more hardware, there's no way multi socket scaling is 100%, much less 115%, if Infinity fabric was that magical AMD could dump all...

Could someone fill me in why AMD hasn't released a FP64 GPU since Hawaii/Tahiti? I thought compared to Nvidia they didn't have dedicated FP64 units so it's only a matter of firmware, or do their FP64 units need bigger registers? Fiji at 1/2 would be pretty potent, it would still be good even...

The thing is I fully believe 'big' Vega(Vega 10 as of now) will end up around 1080ti/Titan XPv2 territory based on its die size, notable architectural changes and projected clockspeed, assuming nothing goes wrong. Now the problem with that is that there's a large gulf between a GP102 and GP104...
