Yeah I was actually looking at the Samsung 172X as it had great Newegg reviews, but the review on Anandtech suggests it might have bad color reproduction. Oh well
I don't know anything about LCD's and their attributes, but I'd like to get one. Can anyone recommend an LCD with good color reproduction? Gaming takes a big back seat here, I have a Samsung 955DF for that--but it's absolutely awful for graphic design.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

it's an onboard sound device-- i have a Biostar M7VIP and the onboard sound device is called like C-media AC '97 or something similar?

yeah i didnt have a problem with songs in media player
but i turned off the catalyst driver tray program thing
and it seemed to fix the problem
so no worries

I just got a new Asus Radeon 9600XT today and installed it with the latest Catalyst drivers.
Runs perfectly and everything.
EXCEPT:
I cracked open winamp and starting listening to some tunes while just relaxing
And every now and then the song errs and there's a slight pause/skip...
it might depend on some of the other pci devices and such you have on your existing setup that will go into the new one
