which PSU?

thanks, I got the cosair. Someone said that Jonnyguru said there was a problem with the 600 OCZs. Anyway I think I would rather stay with the single 12v rail.

LCD buying advice

I just bought the Acer 2051 and it is great and for the reasons you just listed. The 22 inch screens are TN, this is PMVA. I can't comment too much on the text difference but mine is clear and you can always change the size of the text. I love mine.

I can't see why the glossy screen would be problem. I don't see anything in it I don't want to. Unless you tilt it up into a light you will love this monitor for gaming, no ghosting.

DVI Cable

DVI Cable

I just bought a new LCD monitor that came with a DVI cable. There are only pins on either side of the connection. The other DVI Cable that I ordered for something else has pins all the way across. Could someone please explain the difference and would I be better to use the other one? thanks

Couldn't record off cable with DVI connected

So as long as I use cables that aren't DVI and HDMI they don't care? AVS forum is rather huge, do you know where that thread is because they seem to say that such discussions aren't allowed?

It is definately a P-MVA, I checked it enough before I bought it, but where on that site did it say it was a TN because I couldn't find it?

Couldn't record off cable with DVI connected

Last night I set the VCR to record after I went to bed. The VCR is connected with just RCA jacks and I have done this many times. The only difference is that I had hooked up a DVI cable last week which was a waste of time because the HD tv's sound connection for it is digital and the cable...

20'' LCD recomendations

I'll be the first to admit, he doesn't need to spend a lot for what he wants, but the lower the pixel pitch will mean the sharper the text. Right? You can always enlarge the text. But I haven't had the 19 and 22 inch to compare. Also, be sure to enable the clear text option in the display menu.

Which one of these monitors?

This is viewsonic's value line, it only has a one year warranty which is a deal breaker for me. It is 22inch so it is a TN screen. Funny that it doesn't give the pixel count.
