Problems with sata HD

Yes I had the same problem when I built my computer, it would not detect my sata hard drive at all. But for some reason when I installed a floppy disk drive it installed fine. I have no clue as how and why it worked either, I think I just got lucky. But the weird thing was windows did install...

I turned my computer on this morning...

Can you see the system specs showing up on startup? If not try resetting the bios, I see your computer is overclocked and might be over heating. If that's not the problem sounds like your power supply died on you. So you cant see anything on your monitor at all? Maybe your vga connector is bad...

My friend's new PC

I would change your powersupply by the way I dont think 350 watts is sufficent, especially if you plan to use more than 1 hard drive and the 6800 also takes up a lot of power. get atleast a 400 and up. But everything else looks good.

PCI-X availability

The only company I know that makes 6800 pci e are evga, and those are hard to find. I think gainward is coming out with one soon also.

upgrade to 6800gto or x800xt

The 6800 gto is not that good, the pipelines arent open and are locked. Also the clocked speeds are lower, in this case I would go for the x800xt. Or if you cant wait get the 6800gt should be released soon in pci express.

6800 GT PCIe Retail Available

Yah I noticed the card on the eve website, im kinda iffy those specs they mention on the 6800 gt pci express seems like the normal agp card. Plus the box picture has no pci express logo on it, and the connector for it is also wrong and is agp format. Well on ebay I tried bidding on it but hahaha...

x700 pro to x700 XT ?

I dont think it applies in my case, im not doing any hardware overclocking, im using software to bump up the speeds a bit. Im pretty sure it only voids the warranty if your videocard dies because of overclocking.

Never mind, I correct myself it is out, I found it. eVGA makes it and can be found on zipzoomfly.com for $499 for the 6800 gt version, that is a bit pricey. Also it is on back order status, hopefully they get more soon. As for the picture yah it does look like a 6800 but it looks to similar to...

That site must be BS btw because those pictures must be edited, it looks exactly like the gainward 6600gt. Just a replaced cooler and an edited picture of box, but what do I know, I cant read Japanese.

6800GT-PCIe...Operation: CWAL

I've got 3 words for the person who just said the x800xt out performs the 6800gt, pixel shader 3.0, well the 3rd word is a number not a word. Oh, and a couple more words, more games support nvidia then ati.
