Thanks for the reply! Are the Netgear routers really that prone to problems? I am thinking of replacing a Linksys WRT54GS (which is rock solid) for the sake of area coverage... Bad idea?

Any suggestions on remote backup software?

Looking to back up the office computer to a home file server. Would like it to be an automated nightly backup. Backup would be about 30g now... and growing... so software that updates incremental changes is key. Have both Windows and Linux servers available. Have a static IP at both...

Thanks for the responses. Seems everyone thinks XP and OSX will be no problem, but that straggling OS9 machine might be a pain. It works with 2000 Server, so I am expecting it to work with 2003 Server. Now, I'm wondering if I might need to have a FAT32 partition.... If it were straight...

Gotta convert some old Lotus files to Excel...

Have to convert some old Lotus files to latest Excel... I have to assume there must be a conversion tool in Excel for this, but am interested to see if anyone has any experience doing this... Thanks for any advice!

Thanks, n0cmonkey! :) You're right that support for webcams is sketchy... that's why I was hoping for some feedback from others that may have tried it out already... In any case, seems that Mandrake has good driver support in general... so think I'll give that a try with a Logitech webcam and...

Will be putting together a new box for webcam usage... hoping to leverage any experiences you guys have had with this... :) Any advice on which Distro? Am thinking Suse or Mandrake? Any particularly good choices on webcam? Am thinking Logitech... Thanks!
