Snow Leopard. Not sure it had anything to do with Fusion, it just forced a reboot for the first time in a long time.

I think it was just jealous of the new iMac in the room. ;) But, thankfully it's all backed up, and the hardware is going to be recycled for other purposes. Had a long good run, and was stable enough until this - but I could never feel comfortable using it as a system that I depended on...

Have a problem with my DorkPro: Installed latest VMWare Fusion 3.0 this morning. Which required rebooting. After Rebooting, I am greeted with boot0: GPT boot0: testing boot0: testing boot0: done Which is where it stays.. I've tried reinstalling Chameleon, but no luck.. Any...

I'm running a 256mb 8600GT (I believe it's an XFX?), and using both DVI ports to drive dual monitors at 1920x1200, and seems stable to me. 'uptime' agrees with me. :)

MICROCENTER

It is an awesome store. Prices aren't quite as good as newegg overall. But, awesome for a brick and mortar to actually have what you are looking for in hardware and even books. All they need is some basic groceries, and I wouldn't need another store. :)

Is it possible to brick an Apple TV?

The operating system is definately on disk. Can you brick it permanently? I suppose if you try hard enough. But as long as you don't wipe out your restore partition, you will be good to do a factory restore if you manage to botch things up.

Iphone Firmware 3.0

Running 3.0 beta 3 here. Beta 3 is getting closer to being usable for on a phone, the first 2 betas I was rebooting my phone a few times a day. Copy/paste is really the only added feature to the phone that I can say I use on a regular basis. The real improvements lie within the SDK, more so...

Thanks, I just rebuilt the Extensions.mkext in /Extras and will try when it out when I get home (remote now). Overall the box (DS3L in a G5 case, check it out at http://www.erebos.net/project-dorkpro/) has been pretty solid, but had thrown a KP randomly every week or so.

If you get the beta firmware wherever, you can get the md5 checksum and pm me. If it matches mine that I downloaded from legit source, then it would be reasonably safe to say the one you downloaded is 'ok'.
